Interior home styling

Styling & Decorating Your Home

One of my favorite aspects of styling homes, is interpreting each clients individual style through the textures, motifs, colors, and eras they’re most drawn to. Having a strong knowledge and interest in art and design history has deeply enhanced this process.

I am also an appreciator of all (ok, most) styles! From Palladian to French country, Colonial to Greek cottage. There is beauty in all of it, and we will decipher what lights you up, all while keeping within the tenets of being thoughtful, refined, and curated.

Composing objects and decor is just as important as what we choose to include in the space, which happens to be an odd skill I picked up as a child - arranging things till there’s a resting balance. These instincts have also carried over into creating cohesive color palettes and layering patterns.

Translating your style.

Objects speak to me.

Every object - whether it be furniture, art, textiles, or decor - communicates a feeling or story based on its form, finish, material, and color. The time period it was created also communicates a story, so I love mixing in the old with the new. While sourcing decor or props, it’s as if these objects speak to me and I am an intereper, choosing which pieces communicate the feeling we want to surround ourselves with, all in collaboration with the client.

interior design stylist

Home and interior styling is akin to decorating, where we focus on layering objects, art, textiles, and decor to create an environment that is comfortable, chic, and tells your story.

Home styling is perfect for those who need a refresh or update, need assistance finding an inspiring collection of decor attuned to their style and space, and those who appreciate a beautifully arranged and composed home. It’s also great for renters who are unable to do major construction, but want a space that’s distinctly their own.

Home styling is not for those who seek to tear down walls, reconstruct, or do a complete remodel. Please contact a licensed interior designer for those needs. If you’ve already been through the construction process and need help with decor, choosing paint colors, or other finishing touches, let’s talk!
